A NEW DIMENSION IN DRYING TECHNOLOGY

TDry® is an innovative fabric technology that utilizes biomimicry to move moisture in one direction, away from the skin, to keep active users drier and more comfortable than regular wicking materials.

INDUSTRY BENCHMARK STUDY

TDry fabrics outperforms other fabrics of similar fiber content, weight and construction. In this study, the moisture management performance of once of the leading atheltic brands fabrics is compared to a similar TDry construction. The fabrics used in this study are 88% Polyester, 12% Spandex and 150gsm.

  • ONE-WAY TRANSPORT CAPABILITY

One Way Transport Capability (OWTC) is a measurement that compares the dryness on one side of a fabric versus the other. Higher OWTC equates to dryness against skin (aka feeling dry).

  • QUICK WICKING

Wicking measures the spread of moisture across a fabric. More wicking decreases the concentration of moisture build up and allows for quicker drying.

  • FAST DRYING

Drying rate measure how quickly moisture evaporates from the fabric. Increasing dry rate helps minimize wetting out and ensure sustained comfort.

TURBODRY® FAQ

What is TDry®?

TDry® is a patent-pending technology that relies on proprietary yarn selection and fabric construction techniques to create fabrics, elastics, and trims that move moisture in ways that maximize comfort, performance, and aesthetic.

How does TDry® work?

TDry® works in a similar manner to how tree’s move moisture in their root systems. The yarns in the fabric create capillary channels that pull moisture through the fabric from the inside to the outside. This effect is achieved without additional chemistry.

Is TDry® a yarn technology?

No. TDry® is not a yarn technology. It is a fabric construction technology (how the yarns are knitted and woven together). TDry® performance can be achieved with commodity yarns- natural, synthetic, and blended. If your team is interested in incorporating specific yarn technology (for example DriRelease®, 37.5®, etc.) our team can calculate the moisture movement performance before development begins.

How many different TDry® fabrics and elastics are available?

There are over 100 different fabrics and another 20+ elastics constructions in the TDry® collection. These fabrics include double knit, warp knit, weft knit, jacquard, rascheltronic, seamless, spacer, and interlock constructions.

Can TDry® incorporate recycled material?

Yes. In fact, recycled fibers do not affect the performance of TDry® materials.

How expensive is TDry®?

TDry® costs about the same as a traditional fabric or elastic with an upcharge in price similar to a wicking chemistry.

Is TDry® available in knitted and woven form?

Yes. TDry® can be incorporated into knitted and woven fabrics. Currently only knitted fabrics are available, but if your team is interested in incorporating technology into woven fabrics please let us know and we can discuss joint development opportunities.

How is TDry® environmentally responsible?

TDry® is manufactured in bluesign® and Oke-TEK® Standard 100 certified mills. In addition, TDry® fabrics do not need wicking chemistry and do not have any performance washout. Thus TDry® products are long-lasting, durable, non-chemical alternatives to traditional wicking technologies.

Where is TDry® manufactured?

TDry® is currently manufactured in China. As adoption expands, TDry® manufacturing will expand to Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and the United States. If you are interested in becoming a licensed manufacturer of TDry® please reach out.
